Celebrating the 2011 World Series Champion Cardinals,
The Salvation Army teamed up with Busch Stadium on August 4th for The Salvation Army Night at the Ballpark. The Salvation Army offered discounted tickets to the game against the Milwaukee Brewers and received a portion of those ticket sales to aid in their life-saving efforts across the area. Commemorating the 1982 Cardinals World Series Championship, replica 1982 Game 7 tickets were handed out to the first 25,000 guests in honor of the team’s 30th anniversary. Lt. Colonel Richard Amick, The Salvation Army Territorial Secretary for Business Administration, threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the night. The Cardinals landslide 6-1 win will go beyond the 9th inning, though, as The Salvation Army uses these funds to continue to Do The Most Good® in the St. Louis region.
