Smiles make the greatest gifts.

Millions of American parents cannot afford to buy their kids Christmas presents.

The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families living in poverty.

Donate Now

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families and individuals living in poverty. From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.

The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmas.

The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to those who are hurting during the holidays and throughout the year. In fact, our services are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced.

The Salvation Army helps make
spirits brighter at Christmas through:

Red Kettles

These iconic red kettles signal the start of the holiday season. Donations collected in these buckets support the services in your neighborhood. Bell ringers are both seasonal employees and volunteers.

Angel Tree

When you're struggling financially to care for your family, holiday gifts are often not feasible. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program allows donors to purchase gifts and clothes for families in need, making their holidays brighter. Want to participate in our Angel Tree program? Please contact Shawndell Williams, Volunteer Manager at 314-646-3166 or shawndell.williams@usc.salvationarmy.org

Toy Town

For more than a decade, the popular Toy Town program has helped ensure more St. Louis Metropolitan area children wake up to a present under their tree on Christmas morning. It also provides families with vouchers to purchase groceries for Christmas dinner. For those who did not sign up for Christmas Assistance The Salvation Army will have a Toy Town Walk-in Day on Friday, December 20, 2019. Please review the walk-in day flyer here for Christmas assistance requirements. Toy Town is December 16-20, 2019 located at 9715-29 St. Charles Rock Rd, Brekenridge Hills, MO 63114. Call 314-646-3000 for more information.

You can make Christmas merry.
